WILLINGDON ISLAND

Willington Island is the largest Man-made island in India. Which located at the heart of Cochi. Cochin Port is a busy hub for commercial shipping and cruise liners. There is a bridge that connects the Willingdon Island to the mainland of Kochi. It is a popular destination for ferry trips from the mainland, and a departure point for backwater boat tours. At the port’s quaint Maritime Heritage Museum, rare photographs and nautical relics trace local seafaring history. The Island was constructed at full swing in 1936. It was mainly built around the Lake of Kochi.
