Our ancestors and fore fathers are from the ancient port city, kodungallur,w here the old and new emerge in a timeless rhythm. When the port city kodungallur was invaded by the mughals our ancestors were forced to move along with their subjects,leaving a legacy behind.they found a recluse in vaikkam,and fought the wrath and fury of nature they relocated their lives on the holy soils of vaikkam. Manippadam heritage is the result of their blood and sweat and still carries the reminiscence of their courage and conviction.
Perhaps the solemnised and blessed moment in the life and history of manippadam heritage was one happened in the year1986.it was happened when the apostle of peace , the goddesses of sacrifice and the nobel laureate mother theresa visited manippadam heritage as part of her southern voyage.a moment we still treasure in our hearts.
